Car history: |
L71 V-8 Turbo Jet Engine with 435hp, M21 close ration 4-speed manual transmision, TTripower carburetors, correct tires, correct Rally Red Code 974 paint, correct Firestone tires, power steering, air conditioning. The change in body style for signaled many changes for the Corvette, but in 1968 you could still get the coveted 427 Tri-Power. The L71 with with almost 470 ft-lb of torque and a close ratio transmission made the 1968 corvette one of the last great corvettes for decades to come. This Corvette represents a factory car, it left the factory with rally red paint and a Tri-power L71 427 and remains that way today. The engine and transmission are the numbers matching components the factory installed. The rally red paint while not the factory finish is in great condition and presents extremely well. This car was built with factory specifications in mind as indicated by the period correct tires. The interior continues this theme with no modern upgrade leaving only factory Corvette.
